How are the zoning laws for small towns in ma to turn a 2 family into 2 condos? Is it hard?

I bought a 2 family and want to convert it into 2 condos. I want to sell them after I rehab the house.
I think this really depends on which county you are in. However aside from what the county zoning regulations are you have to make sure that your property can be a condominium. There is a lot of work and paperwork associated with and probably some structural changes.
If your 2 family home is a side by side 2 family home, (i.e. they just share a common wall but are not on top of each other) it could be more attractive to turn it into a zero lot line.
So again it really depends on the layout of your building and what the zoning regulations are in your county
Condominiums are a type of ownership. Zoning is usually not concerned with ownership and would treat apartments the same as condos. The building code though, would probably require you to add a firewall between the units.
